Jesus Kicks Darkness to the Curb! HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE!

(belated)
The shortest day of the year is behind us again. We humans have worshiped the sun and celebrated the Solstice as the cyclical conquering of light over darkness since we learned how to shade our eyes from its glare. Christianity's Jesus, though he may have been an actual enlightened human, is also a conglomeration of pagan sun gods, christs, and buddhas*.

For your eyes: A Heinrich Hoffman BUFF Jesus wrapped in light, as seen shortly after kicking darkness' tail to the curb.

May the necessity of darkness provide you with introspection, moments of close contact with those you love, and quiet rest. May the light continue to spread into the darkness and present you with new growth, happiness, warmth, and energetic love.

"walk as children of light....trying to learn what is pleasing to your god." Eph. 5:8-10

*an extremely abbreviated definition of my current understanding of Jesus

Well I am a believer and I have always imagined Jesus to have been incredibly gorgeous haha...nothing wrong with that, now is there?

Of course, these quirky thoughts of mine is what keeps me out of church...but oh well! ;)

I agree with a statement written here- without the darkness, you can't see the light.

Beautiful post!

I'm reading some of your older posts, and wanted to just leave a comment on this one... They say that Jesus looks more middle eastern than He does in these photos that people have.

This is something I did to show people what I think, and what many people think Jesus actually looks like.

CLICK HERE and you'll see what I mean...

What are your thoughts???

I love it! Someone should start a support group for ex-sun deities. Mithra would be there, and Aten. Balder could come to watch only...
