THE BIBLE: For Men. By Men.

FINALLY, someone gets it Right. And he reminds us that he doesn't care what anyone says about him as long as the Word of God is spoken. Classic.

Beware! The Holy Spirit just laid an egg in your brain! Or should I say - impregnated your brain. Maybe both! Schaap never clarified what sexual organs the Holy Spirit is working with.

I have better things to do than analyze this sermon tidbit and rehash my past - but I do want to give a shout-out to former fundie, current progressive Christian Matthew Paul Turner of Jesus Needs New PR for bringing this to my attention via his tweets/blog.  I look forward to the day when churches run by the likes of Schaap are 100% female-free.  It will make it much harder for them to procreate and pass on this Message.

Women and girls in the Stockholm Syndrome death grip of evangelical and fundamentalist churches - it is okay to leave! You are never far from my heart.

SoB: sometimes you say the cutest things. Wait - O No! You've been knocked up by the Holy Spirit!

It's highly possible since, it sounds like, everyone who believes in the Bible is gay.

I mean, what woman would "have knowledge" of this guy?

Women aren't even second-class citizens. They are livestock.

FUCK!

I'm sure he has a little lady who makes homemade donuts instead of store bought & stays thin after popping out X # of kids - and loves to submit to him in the bedroom - per Biblical law. He cherry picks - but it is kind of good to see this old-fashioned revival style preaching again. It's a good example of what is actually going on every Sunday across America.

Matthew mentioned in a comment on his blog that the reason why we only hear men shouting amen is because they take it literally that Women should not speak in church... reminds me of the Mennonites. Southern Baptists were totally cool with women shouting amen.

Anyone who believes a book where males [as a deity} take over the process of birth and then "magically" inflict women with pain when they [allegedly]give that faculty back deserve a big fat horse laugh in their face and no Nookie 4-life!

The video has been removed, but I've seen enough of this stuff that it's not difficult to imagine.

Throughout history hard-line religious groups have tried to limit and control girls' education, and to keep them isolated from the influences of the broader society. Without the power to brainwash, they'd get pretty close to that "female-free" status pretty fast.

Well Shooit! The video HAS been removed "due to copyright claims by the First Baptist Church" The person who had posted this had dozens of Schaap videos - good to know they are now contraband material! The title "Schaap responds to 20/20" has now been replaced with a 4 part advertisement for their church with people giving their testimony.

http://youtu.be/VHDHXyjZuYA - 4/8/2011 ABC mentioning women/girls accusing IFB churches of abuse.
